Reference list with hyperlinks to download publications on MPA science and practice in the Caribbean

This table includes a non-comprehensive list of information materials published in the web. The publications range from research papers to technical reports, pamphlets, brochures and web sites. They were grouped by subjects related to marine conservation science and practice, mostly in the wider Caribbean.

The science and practice of marine conservation and marine protected area planning and management have undergone a notable progress over the past years due to the increasing awareness of protecting, soundly managing and restoring the marine depleted resources of the region. This has led to the publicaction of an increasing amount of research papers, and other type of information materials useful for marine conservation scientists and MPA managers.

This list was created to facilitate information access to the users of the “Training of trainers Manual on MPA management of the Caribbean”. For a more detail and comprehensive literature search, you should access other important virtual libraries, e.g. http://www.reefbase.org/resource_center/publication/default.aspx
http://www3.mpa.gov/mpa_lib/virtual_library.aspx
